NOTE: NEVER MIX RAW FOOD AND COMMERCIAL FOODS - including kibble, canned or any form of treats, cookies
Feeding kibble, cookies and commercial treats has the adverse effect of slowing the digestive system, which causes raw food to become "hung up” The delay in the digestion of the raw food due to the dry commercial food in the system may allow a bacterial “bloom” to develop. Further, commercial foods, which are by definition highly processed and cooked at high temperatures, lowers the PH levels of the digestive system to a level in which bacteria can survive, whereas the normal acidic environment of the canine digestive tract is highly detrimental to bacterial development.
